Job Description
- Manage all testing and certification requirements such as TDI Florida Product Approvals Miami Dade NOAs and FM approvals.
- Manage all aspects of testing new products or product changes. Including concept hypothesis budget material procurement test build manage contract testing and meeting ASTM standards.
- With input from Management prioritize potential R&D projects based on ROI.
- Provide testing and certification support to inside sales architects and third-party engineers.
- Coordinate with Marketing when testing and product approvals are updated so all Cornerstone Building Brand websites are updated.
- Communicate needs and difficulties to all members of the team to assure quick disposition of problems.
- Understand the role in the overall system and be willing to step outside that role when required.
- Coordinate work with other departments as required (Technical Services/IT Design Drafting Manufacturing etc.)
- Coordinate and manage all test materials tools and company property related to the test lab and its requirements.
Qualifications :
Required
- Previous metal testing or metal installation experience
- Technical expertise to be conversant on all applicable building codes material design standards company procedures computer software programs and industry sponsored research.
Preferred
- Previous R&D Testing experience
- Associates Degree
- 10-years metal building component design experience R&D experience or related field preferred
