Job Description
What you will do in this role: When you are a patient games and entertainment can be the highlight of your day. As an Activity / Activities Director you will design a curriculum to keep our short-term residents interested & engaged in their recovery and rehab. For our long-term residents you will create life enrichment events often focused on cognitive and memory retention. This could involve leading exercise groups managing a team of Aides and above all making this a stimulating environment for all.

Qualifications :
Activity / Activities Director: Officially we title this job an Activities Director but in other centers it may be called a Life Enrichment Coordinator.
What we need from you:
- Certified Activity Director (the 36-hour certification course for the state of IL) is nice but not required for this role
- Prior experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred
- Extensive involvement with leading a dynamic team creating an engaging events calendar and managing the individual needs of long-term care patients that address their physical cognitive and social deficits
- Electronic medical records experience (Point Click Care)

This center is managed by TRANSITIONAL CARE MANAGEMENT. We currently provide comprehensive management services to several inpatient healthcare centers throughout Northern IL & the Chicagoland area. These settings include Long-term Care Skilled Nursing (SNFs) Short-term Care Rehabilitation Intermediate Care (ICFs) and Behavioral Health Service (SMHRFs) centers.
