classroom coordination and staff supervision as assignedwithin a defined child care unit (classroom).
EducationalRequirements:The EarlyChildhood Teacher shall have a minimum of a two (2) year degree in EarlyChildhood Education (or a compatible course of study).A 4 year degree is preferred.
ExperienceQualifications:The EarlyChildhood Teacher shall have two (2) years of experience in the early childhoodfield.
PersonalQualifications:The Early Childhood Teacher shall demonstratematurity initiative sound judgment and dependability and the ability tocommunicate orally and in writing. He/shewill be flexible and capable of working with a professional teaching team. He/she will be able to maintain aprofessional demeanor in words tone and behavior including the ability toeffectively handle emergency situations and remain calm. He/she will have the ability to relate to awide variety of individuals; including parents children staff and communitycontacts. The Early Childhood Teacher must be able to lift carry and holdchildren as well as perform those physical acts consistent with best must be willing to attend occasional Early Care and Education relatedmeetings held off-site.
CertificationRequirements:Must be willing tomaintain CPR and First Aide Certification as well as attend the Maine EarlyLearning Guidelines Training.
