Job Summary
The Simulation Technology Specialist will provide technical and electronic support for computers and simulation-related equipment for the Smart Hospital and the Mobile Simulation Lab ( MSL ).
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Simulation support (based at the Smart Hospital) including: Coverage for the Mobile Simulation Lab. Monitors and addresses equipment malfunctions ensuring simulators and lab equipment are secure and fully operational. Installs and upgrades hardware/software conducts operational checks performs minor repairs coordinates vendor support and external repairs and completes annual preventative maintenance per department guidelines. Responsible for the proper setup reset operation breakdown and technical support of simulation activities in the MSL . Provides on-site technical support for mobile simulation activities in rural communities and supports the daily operations of the MSL unit and Smart Hospital. Responsibilities include setup and operation of simulation equipment in confined or mobile environments independent troubleshooting and ensuring reliable professional and culturally sensitive support during field-based training events. Maintains current knowledge of simulation equipment and demonstrates adaptability and strong communication in diverse settings. Assists with the setup of the MSL for simulation operations. Oversee Inventory Management for the MSL . Oversees the organization stocking and maintenance of all simulation lab supplies and equipment in the Smart Hospital and MSL . Manages inventory through audits labeling and utilization tracking. Serves as the primary contact for equipment checkout collaborates with the simulation team generates usage reports for budgeting and ensures accuracy in supply shipments and acquisitions. Audio Visual support Maintains expertise in specialized AV technologies assisting with installation configuration operation and repair. Provides advanced technical support and troubleshooting serving as the internal subject matter expert for planning and supporting AV services. Other Duties as Assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in support disciplines such as electronics engineering computer information technologies or equivalent. No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in support disciplines such as electronics engineering computer information technologies or equivalent. Two (2) years of experience in medical simulation on the technical level. Working experience and knowledge of audio-visual systems. Experience in the Office 365 suite of products including SharePoint.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm. Must be willing to travel in the Mobile Simulation Lab ( MSL ) as needed to clinical sites with varying schedules workweek to include Monday through Saturday with some overnight stays possible.
