Performs responsible specialized work enforcing City ordinances governing vehicle parking; issues parking tickets and places thirty-five pound immobilization devices onto vehicles having excessive unpaid violations. Upon completion of training work is performed with limited supervision requiring the use of independent judgement and the ability to communicate effectively with potentially irate citizens. This position requires the ability to stand/walk/ride a bicycle for extended periods ride a bicycle throughout most shifts work in inclement weather and lift up to 35 pounds.
WORK SCHEDULE:
The position requires you to work nights weekends and some holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience. Must possess valid Florida Drivers License. Must obtain a Parkin g Enforcement Certification within 6 months of hire. Ability to deal with the public required. Polygraph examination required prior to employment. Extensive public contact handling complaints desired.
