JOB GOAL:The Title I Family Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for outreach and engagement offamilies/guardians at Title I schools to increase academic and social emotional outcomes. This includesongoing collaboration with school principals and support staff establishing positive relationships withfamilies/guardians and increasing access to information and resources to support family/guardianinvolvement in their childs :1. Bachelors degree with a degree in Human Services preferred.2. At least 3 years experience and/or training in working with/supporting individuals includingmultilingual learners and those with developmental disabilities.3. Computer literate for documentation presentation data collection and record-keeping skills.4. Must be legally permitted to work with and around children (check of the National Sex Offenderpublic website will be conducted).5. Valid drivers license own reliable vehicle6. Flexible schedulePERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with the school principal to implement strategies for increased outreach and engagementof families/guardians. Ongoing communication with families/guardians via varied means of communication includingoral and written print and digital ensuring translation as needed for multilingual families. Collaborate with professional staff to analyze student data to determine barriers to schoolattendance and achievement. Information and referral to school and community based services relevant to family includes but is not limited to: Maintain effective and timely written and oral communications with families schools andcommunity organizations. Meet regularly with families identified for additional support either by phone or in person tomonitor and support student and family success To be successful in this role you need to be mindful of an individuals abilities and needs in anempathetic manner yet care for them in a way that encourages independence and inclusion inthe community. Individuals must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule including some evening andweekend work to accommodate the needs of families. Individuals must be efficient in scheduling activities meetings and/or events. Individuals must be willing and able to meet with program participants where most convenient tothem such as BWRSD office their home or other venue. registration of new families collaborating with school staff and families/guardians to addressbarriers to consistent school attendance and achievement providing information and referral toschool and community based services assisting with applications to support programsrecreation and social opportunities.
