These components support our mission to provide every student with a world-class Overview: Physical Education Teacher & Track CoachMystic Valley is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher and Track Coach to promote students physical development health and well-being across multiple grade levels. The ideal candidate is a dynamic educator who values structured instruction collaborative teamwork and active engagement in the school Responsibilities:Create and maintain a safe structured and engaging physical education environmentImplement designated PE curricula (e.g. Direct Instruction Core Knowledge) with fidelityMonitor and document student progress consistently through daily and weekly assessmentsDeliver lessons aligned with the Core Knowledge scope and sequenceParticipate in all professional development opportunities and ongoing trainingCollaborate in weekly grade-level team and staff meetings including TAT meetingsSupport students with special education needs by attending IEP meetings and partnering with support staffConduct weekly peer practice sessions (as assigned)Communicate curriculum or student-related concerns to the Lead TeacherPrepare and distribute four progress reports and four report cards each academic year for both homeroom and specialty subjectsConduct four parent-teacher conferences annually (two in fall two in spring)Take part in major school events such as Back to School Night Open Houses Holiday Performances and the High School Senior LuncheonSupport daily school operations through assigned duties including arrival lunch/recess supervision and dismissalUphold and consistently enforce all school policies and proceduresPerform additional responsibilities as assigned by school leadership (e.g. Lead Teacher School Director Assistant Director Business Manager or Professional Development Coordinator)Qualifications:Experience teaching physical education or leading structured youth activities requiredCoaching experience strongly preferredStrong classroom management organizational and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated commitment to student growth and success in a team-based educational settingMust complete all required Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) within one year of employment
