Job Description

Position Summary
This is work directing Custodian Supervisor Bs Custodian Supervisor As Custodian 2s Custodian ls and contractors to manage a variety of housekeeping operations to maintain the cleanliness sanitary conditions and appearance of the LSUHSC -NO buildings. OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION This position is considered an essential personnel position and must be available to respond to campus emergencies after hours and during campus closures. The employee may be assigned to the emergency team that remains on campus and or evacuates to an off-site location during emergency events. This position may be placed on the On-Call rotation. Must have a current drivers license. A minimum three years of experience in directing a group of custodian supervisors and custodians. Knowledge of personnel management principles and practices. Knowledge of institutional cleaning and disinfecting procedures products and equipment. Skill in managing personnel. Skill in using institutional cleaning and disinfecting procedures products and equipment. Ability to supervise people. Ability to properly train custodian supervisors and custodians. Ability to requisition distribute and monitor use of supplies and materials. Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to determine work priorities assign work and insure proper completion of work assignments. Ability to utilize problem solving techniques. Ability to perform tasks requiring bending stopping kneeling and walking significant distances between and within buildings on campus. Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges between the interiors and exteriors of the buildings. Visual ability corrected to observe dangerous situations in the work area (such as wet floors) in order to redirect people to avoid injuries. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate information effectively in English both verbally and in writing. Ability to understand and apply LSUHSC rules regulations policies and procedures.
