PROCUREMENT RECEIVING & INVENTORY SPECIALIST
Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm
Responsibilities.
Responsible for inventory and materials management at the main administration building
Processes supply requests for goods and/or services from staff
Creates requisition
Ensures all orders are placed timely
Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price availability and delivery schedule
Obtains price quotes from multiple suppliers upon request
Runs reports regularly to determine sufficient inventory quantities
Communicates with departments to ensure order accuracy and product quality is maintained
Verifies purchase orders to suppliers to confirm delivery date quantity ordered and price
Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased costs delivery product quality or performance and inventories
Coordinates delivery receipts for invoice match
Expedites delivery of goods to users for maximum effectiveness
Oversees the yearly surplus auction of all assets
Maintains titles and licenses for vehicles and equipment
Performs other related duties as assigned
CPR certified or ability to become CPR certified within the first year of employment
Tier 3 status designation
Qualifications
The preferred candidate should be organized thorough and disciplined with a focus on maintaining optimal integrity in support of the organization.
EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS
High school diploma or equivalent
Associates degree or higher in business administration finance accounting supply management or related field preferred
Two years of experience with receiving & inventory accounts payable purchasing procurement/purchase of goods services and commodities preferred
Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) during employment
Valid drivers license
EXPERIENCE & JOB KNOWLEDGE
Effective business communication (written and verbal) with correct English usage including spelling grammar and punctuation
Ability to maintain good employee relations and foster a helpful team-oriented environment
Proficiency with computers including word processing and spreadsheet applications
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions for purchasing analysis
Ability to maintain supply chain control of inventory processes according to procurement procedures
Ability to solve practical problems while maintaining compliance with governing statutes procurement policies and procedures
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form
Ability to handle multiple tasks from inception to completion prioritize take initiative and exercise sound independent judgment
Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedures manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff vendors customers and the public
Proficiency in MS Office including Word Excel Outlook and related applications
Ability to understand interpret and apply policies organizational values and state/federal laws
$17-$20/hr.
