Due to two internal promotions were looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead heavy highway and civil construction projects from start to finish.
As Project Manager youll oversee all phases of civil construction projects ensuring theyre completed safely on time and on budget. You will:
Analyze project plans and specifications to define scopes of work Develop and manage project budgets schedules and resources Coordinate project teams including field crews subcontractors and vendors Manage contracts permits change orders and purchasing Schedule labor equipment and materials to maximize efficiency Lead project meetings and communicate with clients engineers and inspectors Ensure compliance with safety environmental and quality standards Track job costs billing and financial reporting Troubleshoot issues and manage risks proactively Oversee multiple crews and ensure smooth project execution
To thrive in this role youll bring:
Project Management experience in heavy highway road or civil construction with INDOT or ODOT projects required Strong leadership and the ability to manage multiple projects and teams Solid understanding of construction documents drawings and specifications Budget scheduling and project performance analysis skills Excellent communication organization and problem-solving abilities Tech skills: Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook Project); familiarity with software like Bluebeam OnStation or ITAP is a plus A valid drivers license and willingness to travel to job sites (within a 125-mile radius) Ability to split time between office and field (about 50/50) Willingness to work extended hours including some nights and Saturdays as projects require
You will also bring: Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or related field peferred 5-8 years of relevant project management experience
