The person appointed will lead and manage Mayville High School where all students have an opportunity to reach their academic potential realise their talents develop social confidence and a sense of community responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: To uphold a positive inclusive and professional school culture by leading strategically promoting high standards fostering respectful relationships and preparing all pupils for future success.
Teaching and Learning:To ensure high-quality expert teaching across all subjects by promoting research-informed practices subject-specific expertise and effective use of assessment. To lead the development of a broad and coherent curriculum by ensuring expert subject leadership
Behaviour: To promote a culture of high expectations and respectful behaviour by ensuring clear rules and routines consistent and fair discipline and adult role models who exemplify good citizenship.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities: To ensure ambitious inclusive education for pupils with SEND through dedicated and specialist provision working in partnership with families and professionals and meeting statutory responsibilities.
Professional Development:To prioritise high-quality sustained professional development that aligns with school and individual needs draws on internal and external expertise and supports long-term improvement and succession planning.
Organisational management including Safeguarding: To ensure the effective and efficient running of the school by safeguarding pupils and staff managing resources responsibly deploying staff wisely and maintaining robust systems to mitigate risk.
School Improvement: To drive sustained school improvement by using evidence-informed evaluation to identify challenges develop targeted strategies and implement them effectively and appropriately.
Business Management: To manage the schools resources finances and operations to ensure sustainability efficiency and the best outcomes for pupils and staff.
Community Engagement: To build strong partnerships with families the community other schools and public services to enhance educational outcomes through collaboration and mutual support.
Accountability: To uphold effective governance by fostering professional relationships with trustees ensuring accountability at all levels and meeting all statutory and regulatory obligations.
