In this position...

The Lead Process Coach Production & Maintenance (LPC) is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training development and opportunity for career progression. The LPCs are:

Responsibilities

What youll do...

  • Supervise evaluate and empower a team that produces manufactured products and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements
  • Ensure safety quality and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work verifying lines are running safely smoothly and producing quality parts
  • Drive to exceed personal/team/Company goals by holding self and team to high performance standards through servant leadership
  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members union and management teams
  • Support peer team by training coaching and developing newly hired and promoted Supervisors.
  • Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.
  • Ability to in being able to work rotating shifts and hours

Required Behaviors:

  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations
  • Two-way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members leaders business partners and customers
  • Highly committed to continuous improvement applying innovative solutions with a customer first mindset
  • Create a safety culture and apply and implement workplace policies
  • Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively
  • Values different opinions & is open to ideas & perspectives from others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
  • Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified.
  • Knowledge of constraint management principles.
