I. COMPUTER SUPPORT
1. Maintain computers and networks used in hands-on School of Information Technology programs and instructional labs (i.e. installation rack configuration imaging hard drives network wiring upgrades and troubleshooting). Assisting all School of Information Technology instructors with any of the computer lab preparations.
2. Effectively control inventory of all hardware and software for the networking labs. Hardware may consist of computer equipment and peripherals networking equipment and cabling supplies. Software may consist of operating systems device drivers licensing installation troubleshooting etc.
II. OPEN LAB SUPPORT
3. Provide open lab hours for students to work on assignments outside of scheduled class times.
III. ADMINISTRATIVE
5. Support School of Information Technology faculty in networking lab activities such as equipment selection obtaining quotes maintaining vendor contracts etc.
6. Assisting in the coordination of the School of Information Technologys programs interns and assistants.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
1. Print reconfigure and distribute lab documentation.
2. Work within time constraints.
3. Basic lab organization and cleanliness.
$15.00/hour 20 hours per week
Fee Remission for 6 credit hours of classes enrolled in at Ivy Tech after one year of employment
Minimum Qualifications: Strong Communication Skills required; Associate degree or working towards a degree in Network Infrastructure Server Administration Information Technology Support or Cyber Security/Information Assurance with related experience preferred. CISCO certifications

Other Requirements: TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED: Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of support. Knowledge of PC Operating Systems such as:
Windows 7 8 10 11
Linux distros
Windows Server
