The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Contracts within the Global Patriot program area. This role will support the Patriot EUCOM Program Area in the capture and execution of a key Patriot Foreign Military Sale (FMS) award.
In this role you will be responsible for proposal delivery and negotiation customer communication contract management change management contractual requirements and fulfillment in accordance with company policies compliance with Global Trade policies and agreements legal requirements and customer specifications. You will need to utilize regular application of thorough business acumen and subject matter expertise to understand program performance requirements provide guidance and influence results in support of program and financial objectives. Additionally the Senior Manager Contracts is required to work closely with Program Management leadership the Office of General Counsel and cross-functional peers in support of program gate reviews program management reviews business strategy sessions proposal reviews risk management activities and all other contract related matters affecting the portfolio.
The successful candidate will work with both internal and external customers to ensure program performance provide guidance and influence outcomes to achieve desired results. The successful candidate should have a track record of success in U.S. Government contracting preferably FMS including terms and conditions proposal process contract execution and possess an excellent financial background. The successful candidate will also be expected to have the prerequisite skills and experience to represent Raytheon independently on significant transactions while having ability to develop and maintain trusting relationships with complex customers.
What You Will Do
Act as a lead for the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP) development of proposals proposal reviews and coordination negotiation contractual agreements contract execution as well as general contract administration
Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations achieve company objectives and comply with company policies
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions
Implement strategies to improve acquisition timelines and customer pace of contractual actions
Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking gathering detailed information seeking creative contracting techniques and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders
Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations regulations and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes
Review proposals to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements represent a balanced risk/opportunity posture and deliver a financially sound business case while meeting company policies and standards
Some international travel will be required to meet with the customer
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
Experience in U.S. Government contracting
Experience as Contracts Lead and/or direct engagement with external customers

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
