Reporting to the Director Student Life the Associate Director Athletics & Recreation (AD) oversees athletic complexes at the Trafalgar and Davis Campuses and a fitness facility at Hazel McCallion Campus to meet the needs of the Sheridan community and the communities of Halton/Peel. The AD provides leadership in the planning budgeting and delivery of quality athletic and recreational activities and is responsible for the proactive and strategic development of programs to meet the needs of a diverse student population. In collaboration with the Director Student Life this role supports the development of community partnerships relating to athletics and recreation and coordinates/collaborates with programming within the Student Affairs department. This role supervises staff with responsibility for athletic facilities and recreational and varsity program delivery. The AD also supports initiatives to recruit and retain varsity student athletes promote their academic success and participate in sectoral organizations relating to athletics and recreation at the direction of Student Affairs administration.
