Disaster Management and Resilience Officer

Stream A Level 4 $86795 per annum

What we are looking for:

Were seeking a motivated and experienced Disaster Management and Resilience Officer to play a vital role in enhancing our disaster Prevention Preparedness Response and Recovery programs. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing community-focused team in a role where your contribution directly supports the safety and resilience of the Fraser Coast region. This position has become available due to continued strategic investment in disaster preparedness and community resilience planning.

What your day will look like:

  • Coordinating the development and implementation of Local Disaster Management Plans and associated sub-plans.
  • Supporting and training Council staff SES and LDMG members in emergency systems and protocols including Guardian IMS and the Disaster Dashboard.
  • Building strong partnerships with emergency services government agencies and the local community to improve disaster Prevention Preparedness Response and Recovery across the region.
