Job Description
Job Title: Senior Frontend Developer (React TypeScript AWS)
Location: Remote Canada (Must work EST hours)
Type: Full-Time / Contract
About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with 5 years of experience in building complex web applications using React and TypeScript and hands-on experience integrating with AWS services. You ll play a key role in developing scalable maintainable and high-performance frontend solutions while collaborating with a distributed team across various functions.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of responsive performant and maintainable web applications using React and TypeScript

Architect and implement integrations with AWS services such as Lambda S3 CloudFront and API Gateway
-
Contribute to UI/UX discussions and bring wireframes and designs to life with clean efficient code
-
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization
-
Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality
-
Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews
-
Collaborate closely with product managers backend engineers and designers
-
Be available and active during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours
Requirements:
-
5 years of professional experience in frontend development
-
Deep expertise in and TypeScript
-
Strong experience with AWS tools and services in a frontend context
-
Proficient with Git REST APIs modern build tools and deployment pipelines
-
Experience in performance tuning debugging and testing (Jest Cypress etc.
-
Familiarity with design systems and component-based architecture
-
Excellent communication and leadership skills
-
Must be based in Canada and able to work EST hours
Nice to Have:

Experience with or other SSR frameworks

Familiarity with GraphQL
-
Background in UI/UX design principles
-
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
