The Associate Field Service Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the vital work of maintaining diagnostic equipment which directly influences patient health and well-being.
This position is part of the Los Angeles Field Service team located in the Los Angeles San Fernando Valley area and will be fully remote. At Beckman Coulter our mission is to Relentlessly Reimagine Healthcare One Diagnosis at a Time.
You will be a part of the Field Service Team reporting to the Los Angeles Field Manager and responsible for ensuring optimal performance of Beckman Coulter equipment. This position services the equipment is a Clinical Laboratory which include but are not limited to instrumentation for Automation Chemistry Immunoassay Microbiology Urinalysis and Hematology. In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Under moderate direction from Field Service mentors and leadership complete troubleshooting installation validation preventative maintenance modifications and service repair needs on Beckman Coulter equipment including providing excellent and efficient service to Beckman Coulters customers along with technical training on products.
- Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records order repair parts and adhere to cycle times. Utilize business systems such as OBI Sales Force and SharePoint for Service Call Planning and advancing team goals
- Engage with both internal and external stakeholders understanding and meeting their unique needs
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Associates degree OR High School Diploma / GED with 2 years of equivalent experience OR equivalent military experience
- Equivalent experience may refer to experience in repairing mechanical electromechanical robotics electronic equipment instrumentation and/or similar discipline
Travel Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- This position requires up to 20% flying and/or driving travel which includes overnight stays.
- Must have a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to regularly lift move slide raise and/or place up to 50lbs. Ability to stand walk (prolonged) and sit; squat and kneel ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- 2 years experience of troubleshooting installation validation preventative maintenance modifications and/or service repair.
- Developing positive business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders resulting to increased customer satisfaction and supporting long-term retention
- A technical college major such as biomed engineering or related

The hourly range for this role is $29.80.00-$34.50. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive/housing pay.
