Job Description

Surgical optimization was designed by Corewell Health to make surgical procedures safer by identifying risk factors that may interfere with the surgical journey and healing process. We are a value-based program and our mission is to prepare the patient and their surgical team for upcoming procedures.

Scope of work

Responsible for the activities of team members within practices and oversees the delivery of optimal patient flow and patient satisfaction in collaboration with dyad partners. Trains team members and serves as a liaison between providers team members and director in daily operations. Responsible for charge capture processing standard work process improvement and practice staffing. Manages team member performance and development and ensures policy adherence. Manages multiple sites and specialty programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in business management health care administration or other related area Required.
  • Masters degree or equivalent experience in business management health care administration or other related area Preferred.
  • Five years of relevant experience in health care/medical practice or related work Required.
  • Three years of recent and relevant supervisory or management experience Required.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records and other medical practice systems Preferred.
