You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix AZ invites applicants to apply for a faculty position in our clinical medical physics division. The successful applicant will have the ability to drive innovation and clinical implementation in computed tomography (CT) while overseeing CT regulatory and quality processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with patients radiologists and a range of other healthcare professionals are essential. This position will provide direct support and leadership for projects including specification of software and hardware for new equipment periodic evaluation of equipment and software performance development of advanced clinical applications and procedures and study design integration and performance optimization of clinical and research protocols. Teaching duties will include residents (radiology and medical physics) as well as allied health staff such as technologists and nursing.Clinical research and development including conference presentations journal publications and grant writing are expected components of the position.
The successful applicant will join a rapidly expanding Medical Physics group of 5 PhD physicists 4 MS physicists 6 physics assistants and 2 programmers. The position will have the opportunity to work with a range of CT scanner technologies including photon counting volumetric (large detector) dual source dual energy extremity-specific cone-beam and deep-learning reconstruction. Further research and development opportunities in informatics systems AI and image analysis are available.
Candidates must have a PhD from an accredited graduate program in Medical Physics or equivalent and must be board-eligible or board-certified with the American Board of Radiology.
