Schedule/Location:
- Field-based within the Consumers Credit Union Branch network surrounding Lake Forest IL
- Ability to travel and regular work hours may range from 6:00 am 5:00 pm Monday through Friday depending on vendor availability
- Must have open availability to accommodate scheduling needs outside of regular hours.
- On-call availability required for emergency maintenance issues which may occur during evenings weekends or holidays.

As a Facilities Maintenance Assistant you will perform routine and preventative maintenance and repair services in multiple crafts to ensure the organization remains operating at the desired you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks related to both scheduled maintenance programs and reactive repair needs. You will accurately document these repairs to ensure the history files are up to date.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Locate diagnose and repair unscheduled and scheduled maintenance issues
- Performs preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure facility functionality
- Conduct minor electrical repairs including replacing emergency lights exit signs batteries switches outlets incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes ballast sockets fuses minor appliances cords using proper tools
- Performs plumbing maintenance including diagnose and repair plumbing including cleaning P-traps replacing cartridges for lavatory faucets vacuum breakers diaphragms for water closets and batteries in sensor devices
- Perform HVAC maintenance including ordering materials to replace filters and belts rinse condensers for efficient operation during warmer months replace batteries adjust or program thermostats and diagnose/fix vacuum leaks in pneumatic tube systems
- Document work performed materials used and complete work orders
- Identify equipment facility or safety issues and take corrective action
- Order parts and maintain required documents
- Performs general cleaning
- Interact with contractors personnel and supervision
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree in mechanical manufacturing or electrical systems technology or related Preferred
- 2 years experience in repair maintenance or related
- Basic knowledge of electrical plumbing and HVAC systems
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable punctual and demonstrates professional etiquette
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Friendly outgoing attitude with a positive demeanor
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $22.185 - $33.277per hour. This role is eligible for an annual bonus opportunity. A specific salary offer considers factors including but not limited to skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
