Essential Role Requirements:
- Responsible for ensuring risk assessment briefings and toolbox talks are carried out
- Making sure operatives are working effectively and in a safe manner
- Responsible for ensuring the correct plant and materials are on site to manage a programme of works
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ensuring the correct and safe method is in place when digging around buried services
- Able to confidently engage with operatives to drive Quality H&S and Production standards
- Able to read programmes set by Site Management and convert to working practices to achieve target dates
- Expert knowledge in all aspects of groundwork elements (ground beams drainage sub-structure concrete externals roads oversite housing slabs cut and fill earthwork activities etc.)
- Commercial awareness of site activities
- Management of sub-contractors
- Excellent client communicator and proactive approach
- Able to read drawings to understand build details
General Expectations:
- Reliable & punctual
- Able to work well with other trades and operatives on site and support the programme delivery on time
- Right to work in the UK
Cards & Qualifications Required:
- CITB 5-Day SMSTS
- CSCS Supervisor Qualification
- First Aid at Work Certification
- Safety Critical Medical (Site Specific)
Additional/Desirable Cards & Qualifications:
- CPCS/NPORS* Excavator /- 10t Tracked
- CPCS Lifting Ops/NPORS* Excavator as Crane
- CPCS/NPORS* Forward Tipping Dumper
- CPCS/NPORS* Ride on Roller/Road Roller
- CPCS/NPORS* Telehandler
* Please note that to comply with client requirements we can only accept NPORS cards affiliated with CSCS and carrying the CSCS hologram. We no longer accept traditional NPORS cards.
