Job Description
Job Description: The Filling Room Operators primary responsibility will be to review and optimize the day to day work necessary to keep our filling room on track to meet daily and monthly delivery objectives. In addition
Operate filling room equipment - fillers carton erector labeler heat sealer etc.
Perform operator maintenance on equipment
Perform operator level equipment adjustments
Revise and create department instructions and production records
Enforce safety procedures proper material handling and wearing of necessary PPE
Enforce the maintaining of a safe orderly and clean production area
Candidates should have the following:
Must be organized and complete paperwork in a timely manner
Ability to pay close attention to detail and work independently
Willing to be a leader on a team share responsibilities give and take direction and advice as well as
Must have strong mathematical problem solving skilis basic writing and computer skiils Background should demonstrate safety dependability maturity credibility and productivity Must be dedicated to work safely and enforce all safety policies and procedures Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and shift work including holidays and weekends
Forklift Operation preferred by not required
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must pass a background check pre-employment physical and drug screen.
While performing the duties of this job an employee is typically required to have the ability to exert physical strength coordinate movements use repetitive motions have the ability to operate mobile equipment regularly stand walk bend squat climb reach crouch kneel lift twist push and pull throughout a work shift work in confined spaces have manual dexterity lift materials weighing up to and including 50 pounds select and use appropriate equipment/tools to accomplish job duties read write listen speak and understand English follow all instructions and other oral/written information visually inspect equipment/work area complete paperwork and other documentation accurately identity analyze troubleshoot and solve issues using judgment react quickly as needed be organized and detail oriented be able to identify/judge the urgency of a situation use judgment in decision making communicate effectively with others be aware of oneself in relation to surrounding equipment work independently and as a team with others. Ability to
