JOB SUMMARY:
Provide support for all aspects of merchandise production pertaining to Globals retail programs and initiatives with the goal of achieving a smooth and uninterrupted production and manufacturing process from order receipt to final delivery in accordance with the compliance and fulfillment requirements of our retail customers and partners. Maintain a fluid and commercially viable supply chain throughout the process.
SCHEDULE:
Required to be in office full time Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Supervision Responsibilities:
- Assist and motivate a team of individual(s) to achieve employee and company goals provide clear direction and guidance to team members and ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
- Review and double check all tech pack and spec creation from department & assist when questions arise.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on team performance progress and challenges and recommend strategies to address issues as needed.
- Brainstorm and execute new processes that promote efficiencies within product development tasks & implement updates as needed
Personal Responsibilities:
- Source new vendors research new item types conduct quarterly market research & attend trade shows according to the companys needs. Following procedures & documenting when acquiring new vendors into Global Factory Matrix.
- Aid in the identification and management of potential risks that have the potential to affect production schedules quality or costs.
- Create tech packs & specification sheets in Excel for approval and accessory items (in assigned categories) to request samples from factories. Acquire lab dips strike-offs and bulk fabric swatches from the vendors/factories and coordinate product approval submissions for final pre-production sample.
- Update the various WIP/trackers with all necessary information daily and review for team accuracy in self-led weekly touch base. Manages workflow prioritizing consistent follow through with factories on proto and pre-production sampling.
- Collect & pass on sample images to Brand Management teams to collect sample approval per licensed agreement. Coordinate directly with buyers to acquire all approvals to bulk production & communicate approval comments or corrections to internal and external channels global factories vendors and partners as applicable.
- Supervise timely bulk production and subsequently quality control with vendors in accordance with retailers compliance requirements. Work with external vendors to ensure that production meets quality standards and adheres to established production schedules (time & action).
- Work closely with Retail C&S Production Manager to review shipping production/logistics for cut & sew vendors in accordance with retailers vendor compliance. Ensure an efficient delivery process and reduce chargebacks.
- Work cross-functionally with production sales design and operations to ensure orders are shipped to retailers as approved with timely & accurate delivery.
- Responsible for obtaining manufacturers signatures on Globals Code of Conduct forms & Audit report collection) in conjunction with Director of Retail Production & Merchandising (to be completed by endof November each year).
JOB QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Must be extremely detail oriented with a trained eye for the elements of design: i.e. color proportion and balance as well as aesthetic detail.
- Deep understanding of merchandise product development and production supply chains. Screen Printing Embroidery fit technician experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while maintain a positive attitude.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexible and adaptable to a very fast-paced environment.
- 3 Years in Licensed Merchandise Industry/Product Development.
- 3 Years in C&S Merchandise Production.
- Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design or Merchandising.
- Experience in Adobe Suite Experience (Illustrator Photoshop InDesign) is mandatory.
- Understanding Retailer compliance is strongly preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft Software (Excel Word Teams Outlook) is preferred.
- Pantone Color Experience preferred.
- History & knowledge of licensed products is preferred.
- Requires up to 15% nationwide travel to attend and support trade shows and industry events.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to talk or hear in order to give and receive information and instructions.
- Ability to stand walk sit use hands to type handle or feel objects tools or controls.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to use computer keyboard up to 80% of the day.
- Visual acuity ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision for work on a laptop or other computer equipment.
- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
