Description

The Director of Project/Change Management is responsible for leading the organizations strategic change initiatives with a primary focus on managing the Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes. This role will ensure that all change efforts align with Verlands mission and strategic goals while fostering innovation cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of high-impact change initiatives across the organization.
  • Ensure all RFI/RFP processes follow Verlands standardized policy and support strategic priorities.
  • Serve as a key member or chair of the Change Management Committee (CMC).
  • Evaluate change requests based on alignment with organizational goals resource availability risk and stakeholder input.
  • Assign and support Project Leads (PLs) and Project Oversight Committees (POCs).
  • Oversee project timelines vendor identification and RFP development and distribution.
  • Ensure timely and compliant execution of all change management projects.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and feedback throughout the change process.
  • Track progress of initiatives and provide regular updates to executive leadership.
  • Use data and scorecards to evaluate vendor proposals and project outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and learning.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and strategic growth.
  • Represent Verland in vendor negotiations and external partnerships related to strategic initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties.

Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in managing RFI/RFP processes and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit operations regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Ability to think critically solve complex problems and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage interruptions quickly and appropriately.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrate exemplary professional etiquette.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite and related software.


  • Minimum Training and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Social Work Psychology or a related field (Masters preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in change management strategic planning or project leadership.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully meet the regulated background check requirements.

  • Prosci Change Management Certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
