Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This hybrid role will support month-end close activities financial reporting and account reconciliations with an emphasis on maintaining accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills the ability to work independently and experience working in mid-to-large sized corporate environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries general ledger reconciliations and accruals
- Lead or support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Analyze variances and trends providing insights to finance leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A AP AR and payroll
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementations
- Use accounting systems (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite etc.) to perform daily tasks
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA preferred
- 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables VLOOKUPs etc.)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite)
- Excellent organizational communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
