Job Description
The priority of a tractor driver is to operate a hayride safely and provide a positive interaction with passengers. This person will operate a tractor and trailer ride which will transport guests and employees along a specific route around the farm.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a part of the Tractor Driver role you will be responsible for:
- Prioritizing the safe operation of the Hayride
- Ensuring the safety and positive interactions of both guests and employees
- Operating a tractor and Hayride to transport guests and employees along a designated route around the farm
- Collaborating with other Tractor Drivers to coordinate Hayride rotations across multiple stops on the farm
- Assisting the Hayride Attendant in safely onboarding and offboarding guests
- Conducting daily inspections of the tractor and Hayride reporting any issues promptly to either the Farm Mechanic or Owner
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Carry a valid drivers license
- Must attend Center Grove Orchards Tractor Driving School
- Must pass Center Grove Orchards Driving Evaluation
- Ability to climb up and off Tractors or Hayrides multiple times per day
- Previous experience operating farm equipment or heavy machinery is required
- Able to handle working in warm and cold conditions
