Job Description
Purpose of the role:
As a Special Cargo Manager you will be responsible for delivering the Special Cargo business while driving the transformation as part of the company strategy to be the integrator of container logistics. You will enable customer value creation and support the area business plans with your actions and directions. You will be part of the IMEA regional Special Cargo team working in a highly engaged community driving our transformation and a successful outcome of our company strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance
- Cargo volume revenue and yield objectives for the IMEA region.
-Define regional special cargo strategy IMEA together with the rest of the Global Special Cargo team and cascade down to commercial areas.
-Create a cost catalogue for standard costing of special cargo segments where possible/Align with Trade on space and pricing guidelines that allows for fast and precise market pricing.
-Build an untapped potential special cargo strategy that allows precise and surgical targeting of special cargo markets and customers ensure close alignment of strategy with the global niche product strategy.
-Implement efficient SOPs for handling of standard special cargo across OCL Trade & Marketing Sales & Customer Service in close alignment with Special cargo Team HQ.
-Identify training requirements in the commercial organization in IMEA coordinate necessary trainings with areas.
-Advise senior management in Area and Region on how to build a proper organizational setup around the special cargo customer base.
-Create and conduct market studies to help identify the special cargo potential ex IMEA in close cooperation with the Niche Product Satellite in Region IMEA.
-Meet customers as needed to gain market knowledge on working procedures allowing direct adjustment and changes to SOP s.
Transformation
Steer the ocean customer portfolio towards maximizing special cargo opportunities across the entire supply chain.
-Expand our special cargo capabilities across the entire supply chain.
-Drive special cargo knowledge and awareness across the area.
-Optimize and transform current processes procedures and our ability to service different markets and customers with a multi-brand strategy.
-Expand our special cargo logistics capabilities across the entire supply chain to build products that match customer needs.
-Create efficient and effective tools and processes that enable front line sales to react quickly to pricing of special cargo in the market.
Accountable For
Regional Ocean short-term and Long-Term pricing management
Delivery of volumes revenue and CY.
