About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Python Developer to join a dynamic team working on a high-impact project within the financial services sector. This role is ideal for a seasoned software engineer with a strong foundation in Python and a passion for building scalable metadata-driven data pipeline frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex Python applications using modern software design patterns.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of data engineering solutions including real-time and batch data pipelines.
- Leverage big data technologies such as Spark Hive HDFS and NiFi.
- Integrate with cloud platforms particularly Azure services like ADLSgen2 Event Hubs and Synapse.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment best practices.
The Successful Candidate
You will bring:
- 1020 yearsof hands-on software development experience with a strong emphasis on Python.
- Proven ability to write clean efficient and scalable Pythonic code from scratch.
- Experience in data engineering including pipeline creation and orchestration.
- Familiarity with big data ecosystems (Hortonworks Spark Hive etc.).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and real-time data streaming tools (Kafka Spark Streaming).
- Strong understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps practices and tools (Jenkins Bitbucket Azure DevOps).
- Excellent communication skills a proactive mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Desirable attributes include experience in leading engineering chapters knowledge of modern data architecture and familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or Control-M.
