Meeting Street is currently looking for a Behavioral Specialist for 40 hours per week.
Duties:
- Performs student observations and Functional Behavior Assessments
- Develops and monitors student behavior plans.
- Trains staff on implementing behavior plans and provide guidance and support as needed
- Tracks student progress (including developing data systems)
- Maintains ongoing communication with parents through communication book emails and phone calls
- Attends consult classroom and/or team meetings
- Collaborates with teachers therapists and support staff to implement an integrated educational/therapy model
- Serves as a resource/consultant to school staff

- Bachelors or masters degree in psychology special education or social work.
- Experience working with students with varying levels of disabilities.
- Experience developing and managing student behavior plans
- Valid CPR and First Aid training
- De-escalation and restraint training preferred.
- BCBA certified by RIDE preferred.
- Position hours: Four days in Providence and one day in Dartmouth MA.
