About us:

Our beautiful hospital located in Whatcom County Washington is seeking to add a full-time Associate Veterinarian. We are centrally located in the growing town of Ferndale about 15 minutes north of Bellingham. Whatcom County offers four wonderful seasons with varying recreational capabilities - from beaches to the snowy mountains. All the adventure you could ask for is right in our backyard!

We have a passion for animals providing top-tier quality medicine and fostering great relationships with clients as well as our community.
At Whatcom Vet westrive to have an up-to-date high-quality hospital that offers preventative wellness care in-house labs radiology (including dental) ultrasound therapeutic laser and electronic medical records. We have an extensive surgery suite designed to accommodate small animals. We have a complete team of support staff to assist our doctors needs. We provide care to small animals only with regular scheduled hours and no on-call shifts. At this time we need someone proficient in surgery who will be ready to hit the ground running!

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) .

  • Compassionate team-oriented approach.

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the veterinary team while upholding medical standards.

  • Develop and implement medical protocols.

  • Perform routine and advanced surgeries.

  • Interpret lab results to support accurate diagnoses.

  • Educate and build strong relationships with clients.
