The opportunity

The Student Administrative Assistant will provide essential support to the Administrative Manager and Marketing Team by assisting with the coordination and execution of in-person and virtual meetings including room reservations catering AV/media requests and guest logistics. This role involves data tracking support assisting in the management of the supply and swag inventories and aiding in administrative functions. The assistant will also contribute to team engagement by helping plan wellness events seasonal activities and recognition initiatives. A proactive detail-oriented approach and strong organizational skills are key to success in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supporting administrative tasks related to meetings events and activities for the department.
  • Submit service-related inquiries and tickets for facilities IT media services Concur etc.
  • Support in data entry & tracking
  • Administrative support to the Administrative Manager
  • Assist in the swag/ supply closet inventory
  • Responsible for collecting and distributing all Marketing mail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
  • Work study part of financial aid package
  • Students with work study may be prioritized

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (Teams)
  • Basic knowledge of office equipment (printers copiers)

Abilities:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Works independently and collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Willingness to take initiative and follow through on assignments
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs

Other characteristics:

  • Dependable and punctual: Demonstrates reliability in attendance and task completion.
  • Professional demeanor: Maintains a courteous and respectful attitude in all interactions.

Work Hours:

Mon-Friday between 8am and 4:30pm. Total number of hours per week not to exceed 20.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills qualifications experience and internal equity in addition to relevant business considerations.
