The Kidde FPS (Fire Protection Services) location in Wilson NC is seeking a Senior Manager for its service center to run the Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO)shop.
This role oversees monitors and coordinates MRO production team activities giving importance to individual members and overall team achievement in achieving policy deployment objectives. Ensures teams goals are aligned with and represent the companys objectives. Works proactively in addressing potential issues and applies real-time problem solving skills when working towards resolution.
This role is eligible for relocation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Role is responsible for leading organization of approximately 50 employees with five reporting directly to this position.
Maintaining the people capability to meet established goals. This involves hiring training communication goal setting and reinforcement through recognition and discipline.
Ensure the highest attainment of customer delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
Ensure capacity and materials availability to guarantee on-time repair delivery.
Ensure that MRO production operators have the work instructions processes equipment tooling and tools to meet business unit goals. This requires process and product line knowledge communication and real time problem solving skills.
Ensure sound working knowledge of plant safety to ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times.
Meeting customer service level goals for the department. This requires shop floor manpower scheduling test stand capacity management and sound understanding of demand planning and material consumption requirements.
Establish and manage the business unit budget and providing input to annual capital budget requirements.
Direct all activities for Repair services and report overall performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures FAA Part 145 EASA DOT ATA CAAC and other related regulatory requirements in accordance with current logistic and business situations as applicable.
Maintain liaison with manufacturing regarding product delivery performance of the plant.
Coordinate scheduling of significant orders that are outside of normal delivery parameters.
Maintain a product inventory and/or forecast plan for commercial repair station requirements.
Formulate procedures and systems to analyze performance and forecast sales levels. Monitor and report sales performance late backlog inventory and status of deliveries to major customers.
Establish schedules and procedures to provide AOG response capability during non-operating periods.
Administer the warranty program. Negotiate and settle claims as applicable including customer in-house warranty work. Review and approve warranty labor rates.
Assist central pricing team with pricing policies and support periodic pricing reviews.
Ensure compliance with company product support agreements.
Coordinate with field technical and sales staff to keep airlines OEMs and all applicable customers informed of current product support capabilities and policies.
In all areas of responsibility the incumbent is responsible for providing full compliance with the Collins Aerospace Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government and the Collins Aerospace Code of Ethics which include ensuring subordinate staff are aware of the policies and that their responsibilities and actions comply with and support these policies.
Responsible for ensuring a safe working environment implementation of safety policies procedures and programs and adhering to requirement under EPA DPA OSHA and other regulatory standards.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
5 years of direct operational management of aerospace Part 145 maintenance repair and overhaul work environment or equivalent manufacturing experience.
Experience reading analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) aerospace specifications & governmental regulations.
Experience presenting important business segment messages to senior leadership direct reports clients customers and the general public.
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
Direct report and team leadership experience.
Ability to understand develop and deploy CORE ACE LEAN &/or Continuous Improvement principles across the MRO.
Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

The salary range for this role is 124000 USD - 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
