Pay:$17.75 - $20.75 per hour! (depending on related experience)
Sign-on Bonus for Eligible OMH Community Residence Positions
Full time positions are now eligible for a $2000 sign-on bonus $500 every 3 months for one year. Part time positions are now eligible for a $1000 sign-on bonus $250 every 3 months for one year. New hires rehires and transfers are eligible for this sign-on bonus. (ELIGIBLE POSITIONS: Supervising Senior Counselor Senior Counselor Counselor Senior Counselor/Family Support Specialist Recreation Specialist)

Nature of Work:
A Counselor is a compassionate and patient entry-level direct-care human services professional who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Added responsibilities for the Med Assistant position. You will be responsible for providing instruction and support to children and youth diagnosed with serious emotional disturbance using strengths-based and trauma-informed practices with the goal of improving functioning and overall quality of life. As a Counselor you will be an integral member of the team providing daily documentation and feedback regarding youth progress and needs. Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in a human services related field is strongly preferred; a high school diploma with related experience may be considered.
- Requires a valid drivers license that meets insurability guidelines to operate Agency-owned vehicles.
- Must meet the requirements of the School Age Care Day Care and/or Mental Health Regulations regarding a State Central Register Clearance regarding a history of abuse/maltreatment of children and Criminal History Review for criminal convictions.
