Job Description

Summary

We are seeking an experienced detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Employment Law department. In this role as a Paralegal you will work closely with a talented attorney in providing litigation support.

Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare legal documents including pleadings motions affidavits complaints legal memoranda
  • Organize exhibits documents evidence briefs and appendices
  • Interface with Administrative Agencies including EEOC
  • E-file court documents in federal and state court
  • Prepare discovery documents interrogatories and responses
  • Draft and serve summons
  • Coordinate depositions
  • Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits
  • Drafting pleadings motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court
  • Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery
  • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
  • Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties including co-counsel counsel for defendants and the courts

Requirements

  • Associate degree certificate or equivalent work experience (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
  • Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred)
  • General Litigation Experience preferably in federal court
  • Applicable knowledge of motions discovery evidence litigation documentation court rules and procedures practices
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Not remote eligible
