You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Sleep Lab Manager is responsible for providing technical and administrative management to a group of technicians and staff engaged in conducting Polysomnographic examinations. Responsible for projecting budgetary needs evaluating equipment and employee performance and ensuring the general effectiveness of services. The Manager is responsible for assisting in monitoring and controlling the Sleep Laboratory budget employee relationships customer service performance improvement maintaining intra and interdepartmental communication and overseeing specialized accreditation. The Manager is also responsible for organizing the work schedule and monitoring attendance and punctuality.
Minimum Education:
Bachelors degree in related science (e.g. engineering psychology neuroscience health) or business.
Minimum Experience:
2 years Experience in a Lead sleep technician position.
Minimum Skills:
Demonstrates ability to utilize effective appropriate and diplomatic oral and written communication skills.
Committed to excellence in patient care and customer service.
Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
Excellent analytical problem-solving planning and evaluation skills.
Must be comfortable with computers and medical terminology.
Leading/ guidance skills
Required Certifications:
Respiratory Care Practitioner - RCP (CA DCA) AND Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
*OR
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credentialed by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists;
OR Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) by American Board of Sleep Medicine.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
Preferred Education:
Masters Degree in related field.
Preferred Experience:
Management experience.

The annual salary range for this position is $95000 - $145000. When extending an offer of employment the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education/training key skills internal peer equity federal state and local laws contractual stipulations grant funding as well as external market and organizational considerations.
