Job Description

Centric Events & Rentals is a small but rapidly growing team of people who are excited about providing gear and production services to events of all types. Our company straddles three industries: Event Production Audio-Visual and Event Party Rentals. In order to keep the momentum going and care well for our existing team we are ready to bring on another talented individual who loves all things scheduling logistics and organizing people. Seeking applicants interested in part and full time. This role is largely in-person at our 101 & cave creek office. Some hybrid work from home opportunities will be considered after training and proficiency in the role is demonstrated.


The position in a few words:

The Logistics and Scheduling Manager is responsible for the overall management of logistics maintenance staff scheduling and training scheduling.

Available to work 20-32 hours per week for part time and 32-40 hours a week full time.

Compensation:

$20-25/hr depending on existing experience plus a bonus structure for effective and efficient performance.


Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in scheduling or related field
  • Knowledge of Audio Video and Lighting Systems and Technician roles
  • Good understanding of labor budgeting and event cost
  • Ability to book technicians and transportation within budget
  • Willingness to notify sales team when issues arise with proposed or set budgets
  • On-call availability for emergency staffing and transportation issues
  • Works with project managers sales teams and ownership in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with technology such as Google Docs and Gmail
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong multitasking and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Forecasts staffing needs based on event booking and data
  • Responsible for logistics maintenance staff scheduling and training
  • Analyzes and resolves administrative clerical and scheduling problems
  • Develops and maintains the master schedule system
  • Coordinates with supervisors for staff deployment
  • Monitors staff time off and balances
  • Attends meetings and prepares reports as directed.


What your days will look like:

-Working closely with our office administrator & sales team to ensure all events coming up within a two to six week period are properly staffed.

-Keeping on top of staffing changes and organizing additional staff when call outs or last minute sales opportunities arise.

-Updating sales leadership and staff on scheduling on a weekly basis.

-Helping leadership update the staffing and logistics playbook as efficiency opportunities are uncovered.

-Connecting with staff and independent contractors to make sure that availability is up to date and mutual expectations are being met based on part or full time.

-Willing to grow knowledge in the a/v and rental industry as it pertains to performing this role even better.

-Working on special projects and other people or scheduling related projects in the office.
