Meridian Blue Construction is looking for a Full-Time HR Generalist with the opportunity to advance into an HR Manager role to join our team. This position will be responsible for performing a wide range of HR-related duties in the following functional areas: HR policies and procedures management benefits administration employee relations training maintenance and assistance performance management recruiting hiring and onboarding policy implementation and help define and improve Meridian Blue work culture and employment law compliance. Location: Lakeville MN
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65000.00 - $85000.00 per year
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains employee records ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information job classification pay rates organizational structure and other key details.
Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
Reviews applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; conducts pre-screening and schedules interviews.
Conduct employee orientation and onboarding activities
Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes which may include layoffs resignations terminations and extended leaves of absence.
Administers leave of absences including short-term disability long-term disability and FMLA.
Support management teams in fostering programs and practices that support employee engagement and retention
Provide counsel and support on salary administration
Manages annual compliance audits for the company including 401K Plan and assisting with Workers Compensation and SOC audits.
Oversee health benefits administration including open enrollment and monthly benefit enrollments for new hires and change requests.
Oversee workers compensation claims and OSHA logs. Pulls quarterly reports and OHSA data as needed.
Manages HRIS System Performance Dashboard and Reporting.
Answer employee questions and addresses employee concerns with company policies.
Identify ways to improve HR policies and procedures in support of company growth
Counsel supervisory/management staff on employee issues corrective action and individual improvement plans.
Coordinate employee training activities and the development and maintenance of a Learning Management System.
Represents Meridian Blue in community and company events.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
A bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Organizational Development; or at least three years of equivalent experience
Experience in providing value added HR coaching guidance thought leadership and HR business partnership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws and practices.
Technically sound in Human Resources fundamentals and best practices and the application of them in manufacturing operations.
Broad knowledge of safety training and development employee relations performance management and organizational planning.
Working knowledge of benefits and compensation programs.
Strong knowledge and working experience with Human Resources Information Systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
