Design and implement scalable backend services using and
Contribute to architecture discussions for building maintainable performant and secure systems
Write clean modular and well-tested code aligned with team standards and product goals
Collaborate closely with product and design teams to deliver optimal experiences for LG Smart TVs and other embedded hardware
Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in TV app development smart device experiences and web technologies
###Backend & API Development
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and services that power web mobile and smart TV interfaces
Integrate with SQL and NoSQL databases and optimize data flows for low-latency experiences
Ensure backend systems are secure fault-tolerant and built to scale
Work with DevOps to support deployments using Docker and optionally Kubernetes
Handle integration with third-party APIs SDKs and hardware-level interfaces (e.g. LG webOS or native control layers)
Support debugging and performance tuning across a variety of environments including smart TVs and constrained devices.
What Youll Need
Required:
Web Development: Proficient in and MongoDB
AI Integration: Strong interest and ability to leverage AI technologies to improve current and future product experiences
Backend Development: Experience with Java (8) and the Spring Boot ecosystem
API Design: Solid understanding of RESTful API design development and best practices
Databases: Experience working with both SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB Redis) databases
Version Control: Proficient in Git and familiar with workflows like Git Flow or trunk-based development
CI/CD: Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines especially using tools like Jenkins GitHub Actions or similar
Containerization & Orchestration: Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for building deploying and managing microservices
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor
