Job Description
Permanent Physician Assistant-Urgent Care Day Shift
Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: Day
Guaranteed Hours: 24 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
- Conduct comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and medical histories to assess patient conditions.
- Order interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to determine healthcare needs.
- Prescribe and manage drug therapies or other treatments following approved protocols ensuring efficacy safety and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans using evidence-based guidelines in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor patient progress and treatment effectiveness; adjust plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses treatment options medications side effects nutrition and health maintenance.
- Document care plans procedures and patient outcomes accurately and timely.
- Provide consultations within scope of specialty and expertise.
- Perform invasive procedures as allowed under scope of practice and delegation.
- Provide care coverage beyond scheduled hours when needed.
- Strong diagnostic clinical and therapeutic knowledge.
- Understanding of drug interactions disease management and preventive care.
- Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced critical thinking and complex problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and related software tools.
- Ability to build comprehensive outcomes-based treatment plans.
- Capability to interpret and assess diagnostic tests and recommend actions.
- Comfortable with patient counseling and behavioral intervention strategies.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Physician Assistant in urgent care or emergency settings.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Current Physician Assistant license in the State of Texas (required).
- NCCPA Certification (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer.
