Job Description

RN Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Permanent Role

Location: Plano TX 75093
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience

Essential Functions of the Role:
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and accurately prioritize patient and family needs.
  • Develop implement evaluate and adjust personalized care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Build and maintain therapeutic relationships while maintaining professionalism and managing patient discomfort.
  • Integrate patient values and beliefs into care planning and resolution strategies.
  • Educate patients families nurses and community members to promote informed healthcare decisions.
  • Regularly assess document and address the learning needs of patients and their caregivers.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and the community to coordinate patient care.
  • Delegate tasks safely and effectively ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving strategies when working with patients families and colleagues.
  • Acknowledge limitations in practice and always prioritize patient safety effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Engage in teamwork recognize the contributions of others and commit to professional growth.
  • Participate in the development of peers and demonstrate commitment to community service.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong knowledge of nursing standards patient care procedures and state nursing regulations.
  • Familiarity with hospital policies healthcare procedures and medical terminology.
  • Understanding of disease prevention treatment and common medications and side effects.
  • Commitment to nursing ethics and patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and social skills for diverse team and patient interactions.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Basic proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office electronic medical records (EMRs) scheduling systems and secure communication.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
  • Specialized field of study: Nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of CVPCU RN experience is required.
  • Active RN License in the state of Texas.
  • BLS Certification (or obtained within 30 days of starting).
