Job Description

Permanent RN Med Surg Night Shift

Location: Brenham TX 77833
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe compassionate and coordinated nursing care in a fast-paced Med Surg unit.
  • Assess monitor and document patient conditions responses to treatment and progress.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses procedures medications and discharge plans.
  • Adhere to infection control standards and patient safety protocols.
  • Respond effectively in emergency situations and assist with code responses when needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN).
  • Current Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification-required (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • Prior Med-Surg nursing experience.
  • Strong critical thinking communication and interpersonal skills.
