Job Description
Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer-10 years
Chicago IL (Hybrid Onsite Tue Wed Thu)
Contract-w2 /FTE
What Youll Do:
- Lead design and implementation of scalable secure cost-efficient cloud solutions on Azure
- Use Terraform to manage infrastructure as code and automate resource provisioning
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) with a focus on efficiency and repeatability
- Implement SRE best practices: monitoring logging alerting incident response DR
- Ensure cloud security across IAM data protection and network security layers
- Design with reliability and operations in mind: availability scalability backups restore procedures
- Collaborate with security teams to remediate findings and meet compliance standards
- Mentor junior engineers on cloud architecture best practices and emerging tools
- Work closely with DevOps architecture and application teams in an agile setup
Required:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- 10 years in application development building end-to-end enterprise systems
- 5 years hands-on experience in cloud engineering ideally Azure
Technical Strengths:
- Deep expertise in Azure and native services
- Strong coding skills in Spring Boot JPA ReactJS
- Experience with Azure Postgres Cosmos DB Azure Service Bus Event Hub Event Grid Solace Kafka
- Database ops: backups restores failovers replication
- Monitoring: Azure Monitor logging and alerting frameworks
- GitHub Actions for building CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of Agile/SCRUM workflows
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
Bonus:
