The Logistics Assistance Manager supports the logistics and supply chain operations by managing transportation distribution processes Logistics Documentation & Co-ordination with clearing agency. They ensure timely delivery of goods optimize logistics workflows and maintain compliance with regulations while minimizing costs.
Coordinate Logistics Operations: Oversee the movement of goods including scheduling shipments tracking deliveries and coordinating with carriers suppliers and warehouses.
transportation: Monitor transportation and delivery schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
Documentation: Co-ordinate with Purchase & Supplies for proper shipment documentation.
Clearing & Forwarding: Should be well experienced with clearing agency and all port clearing activities and transportation arrangements.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels ensure stock accuracy and assist in demand forecasting to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in logistics processes to enhance efficiency reduce costs and improve delivery times.
Vendor and Carrier Management: Negotiate contracts with transportation providers evaluate performance and resolve issues with suppliers or logistics partners.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with local national and international shipping regulations including customs safety and environmental standards. Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and logistics documentation.
Team Supervision: Manage and train logistics staff including drivers warehouse workers and administrative personnel to ensure smooth operations.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse logistics data (e.g. delivery times costs and performance metrics) to generate reports and recommend improvements.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics software (e.g. ERP systems TMS or WMS) Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
