Job Summary
- The Homeless Housing Coordinator will be part of the Initial Assessment Team Service which aims to assist individuals threatened with homelessness or currently homeless to sustain their present accommodation or transition into suitable private rented accommodation. The role will involve collaborative work with partners to enhance resilience and housing sustainment under the Early Help strategy.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Provide expert advice and work collaboratively with partners to prevent or delay homelessness aiming to minimize the use of temporary accommodation or individuals ending up on the streets.
- Work within the Initial Assessment Team to prevent homelessness closely collaborating within the service area.
Essential Experience Required
- In-depth experience in welfare homelessness reduction act housing and homelessness policy and case law legislation and practice Courts possession orders & evictions.
- Specialist knowledge on homelessness decision making.
- Experience in safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
Essential Qualification Required
- A good general standard of education with strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Working hours: 35 hours per week.
- The role requires an enhanced DBS check.
