Pay Rate: $23.50 per hour
(Additional $1.00 per hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)
- Analyzing and making repairs on brood equipment as directed (i.e. boilers feed and lighting systems etc.).
- Installing connecting and adjusting electrical and pneumatic brood equipment as directed.
- Plumbing.
- Using electrical test equipment such as multi-meters voltage testers amp meters temperature sensors etc.
- Using common brood maintenance tools and equipment such as hand shovels trenching tools drill motors sawzalls cordless drills boiler efficiency testers walk-behind and tractor trenchers tiger hoes etc.
- Performing maintenance on various brood systems (boilers natural gas and diesel-fired; vaporizers LP gas fogger well and water lighting feed and injectors/medication systems and pneumatic temperature controls.
- Work from blueprints/schematics to perform maintenance/repair or install equipment.
- Assist in training subordinate employees (i.e. Brood Maintenance Mechanics Class C).
- General cleaning and/or assisting other crews if required.
- Maintaining safety housekeeping and sanitation and disease control requirements while performing job duties.
Qualifications :
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of training and/or experience.
- Must be able to pass a Brood Maintenance Mechanic level B test.
- Must be able to complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work from a ladder.
- Must have and maintain a California drivers license and an acceptable DMV record.
