Job Summary:
We are seeking a Research Technician I or II to join our research team in the laboratory of Dr. Aaron Schimmer at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre University Health Network (UHN). Our laboratory is focused on studying leukemia cells and stem cells to develop better therapies for patients with this disease. The selected candidate will join an exciting research environment focused on translational aspects of leukemia biology and treatment. Working in a fast-paced environment we require a biologist with strong skills in cancer mouse models flow cytometry and cell culture who can multi-task and enjoys working as part of a research team.
Qualifications :
- Minimum BSc a MSc or PhD degree in biological science preferred
- Minimum of 3 years related experience
- Experience in cell culture is mandatory
- Experience in molecular biology techniques is mandatory
- Experience in flow cytometry is mandatory
- Experience working with cancer mouse models is required
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently
