Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation and cooking tasks
Assist with setting up and serving meals to pupils and staff
Ensure kitchen dining and service areas are clean tidy and hygienic at all times
Wash up crockery utensils and kitchen equipment as required
Follow all food hygiene health and safety and company procedures
Help with unpacking and storing deliveries
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly helpful attitude
Support hospitality events as required (e.g. parent evenings school functions)
Work as part of a team to ensure smooth efficient service
Carry out other duties as reasonably requested by the Head Chef or Catering Manager
Qualifications :
Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience in a catering or cleaning environment (desirable but not essential)
Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices
Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate (can be provided during training)
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions
Reliable punctual and professional in appearance and attitude
Positive can-do approach to work
Physically able to be on your feet for extended periods and carry out manual tasks
Willingness to learn and adapt to a busy school environment
