Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Grand Blanc MI on a full-time basis. Occasional travel to ourPontiac MI facilitymay be required based on business needs.
The Role
As aCNC Programmer/Machinist you will be responsible for transforming 3D models or blueprints into precision-machined world-class racing components. Working within ourGrand Blanc Motorsports Machine Shops youll take projects from concept to completionprogramming setting up and machining high-performance parts that meet the exacting standards of the motorsports industry.
What Youll Do
Program and set up tooling for CNC machines perform basic inspection and finish machined parts.
Interpret work orders blueprints engineering drawings and material specifications to plan machining operations.
Design and build fixtures to support part machining processes.
Program CNC mills using both manual G-code and CAM software.
Ensure part quality by following established quality assurance procedures and standards.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
Contribute to team success by taking ownership of tasks and seeking opportunities to add value.

What Youll Need (Required Qualifications)
Minimum of10 years of machining experienceor equivalent.
Proficiency in CAM software preferablyMastercam.
Strong3D surfacingcapabilities.
Experience selecting appropriate tooling speeds and feeds.
Hands-on experience withmanual mills and lathes.
Proficient in4-axis CNC programming and operation.
Familiarity withGD&T standards.
Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate across disciplines and cultures.
Strong organizational and communication skills for sharing technical data.
Flexibility to workday afternoon and occasional weekend shiftsas needed.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience programming and operating4- and 5-axis CNC machines.
Familiarity with bothhorizontal and vertical CNC machining.
Experience withUG (NX)andTeamCenter.
CNC lathe programming and operation experience.
Knowledge ofFanuc Haas Hurco Fadal MakinoandSiemenscontrollers.
Understanding of the fast-paced and evolvingracing environment.
