Accounting & Reimbursement Assistant
The AR MedicalBilling Specialists (MBS) report directly to the Revenue Cycle Director and isresponsible for the medical record management and collection of service andproduct charges due from our residents Medicaid Medicare and theirthird-party health insurance payors. Aspart of our revenue cycle management team the MBS is assigned an equitableportion of our resident account database. Working independently the MBS performs a wide variety of tasks that aredesigned to process all types of third-party health insurance claims inaccordance with generally accepted record management accounting practices andall third-party health insurance payor rules and regulations. This position is a critical part of thebusiness operation and directly affect the cash flow of our organization.
Skills & Abilities:
- Intermediate Excel skills preferred.

- Point Click Care Billing software preferred.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Industry Certificates for job-related topics are plus.
- A minimum of 3-years experience in a healthcare providers business office setting involved in the full range of resident accounting operations including: Registration; Charges; Cash applications & Contractual Allowances; Third-Party Insurance Claims Processing Routines; Self Pay Collections; Account analysis.
- A minimum of 3-years experience with a third-party health insurance claims office or plan administrator involved in processing of health provider claims.
- A working knowledge of NF SNF AL RAL billing and collections is preferred but not necessary.
- A working knowledge of basic accounting transactions analysis and basic third-party health insurance claims processing rules and regulations is preferred.
